Every British company, from the register.
Belda reads Companies House, the state's own list of companies, and never a bought database.
- On the register
- 5,516,377 companies on the register at the end of June 2026, as the register stated it on 30 June 2026, read 2 October 2026. Source

You type an industry code and a town. The agent reads the register, then each company's own site. The list comes back with a source under every row.
What the register holds
Companies House gives the register away twice over: a free API with a key you get by registering an account, at up to 600 requests in five minutes, and a free monthly snapshot of the basic data for every live company, 37 fields in its specification. Its own statistics stated 5,516,377 companies on the register at the end of June 2026, published on 30 July 2026 and read by the machine on 2 October 2026. The register publishes a company's officers with their roles for nothing. The number of employees sits in each company's filed accounts.
What Belda reads
- The industry codes. Up to four per company on the standard of 2007, so a code you type finds every company registered under it.
- The registered office. The register's own address field, so a list is drawn by place.
- The incorporation date and the company status. As the register states them.
- The filed accounts. The number of employees, where the company filed it.
What Belda never stores
- A person's e-mail address or phone number from the register. The register publishes none for a person.
- A person's name from the officers' list on a company that has not said yes.
- A row that did not come from a list you asked for. Every row names its register and its read date, or it does not enter the list.
Three questions of every row
Where did it come from. When was it true. Who said I may write to it. The register answers the first two on every row; the United Kingdom's register carries no marketing flag, so the market's rule does that work instead. After the register the agent reads the company's own site and marks fit with the sentence it found there and the page it was on.
