Every Swedish company, from the registers.
Belda reads Bolagsverket's company data and Statistics Sweden's business register, the state's own lists of companies, and never a bought database.
- On the register
- 1,804,297 companies and 1,436,285 workplaces, read 2 October 2026. Source

You type an industry code and a municipality. The agent reads the register, then each company's own site. The list comes back with a source under every row.
What the registers hold
Bolagsverket has published company data without an agreement since 3 February 2025, by an API at 60 queries a minute and by weekly bulk files; the file carries the legal form, the registration date, the industry codes and a marketing block column, the last two supplied by Statistics Sweden. Statistics Sweden stopped charging for its own business register data on 26 June 2025. That register stated 1,804,297 companies and 1,436,285 workplaces on its own page when the machine read it on 2 October 2026, each company with an employee size class in one of seventeen bands, its municipality, up to five industry codes on the 2025 classification, and the marketing column with its codes.
What Belda reads
- The industry codes. Up to five per company on the Swedish standard of 2025, which replaced the 2007 one on 8 December 2025.
- The municipality. The statistics register's field, so a list is drawn by place.
- The legal form and the registration date. As Bolagsverket states them.
- The size class. One of seventeen bands by employees, from Statistics Sweden.
- The marketing column. A company whose code says it declined marketing post is counted in the universe and never written to.
What Belda never stores
- A person's e-mail address or phone number from the registers. The registers publish none for a person.
- A personal identity number, or any field the registers show only to the company itself.
- A row that did not come from a list you asked for. Every row names its register and its read date, or it does not enter the list.
Three questions of every row
Where did it come from. When was it true. Who said I may write to it. The registers answer the first two on every row, and the marketing column answers the third. After the register the agent reads the company's own site and marks fit with the sentence it found there and the page it was on.
